Waikato Compassion Meditation Centre

Hamilton's Waikato Compassion Meditation Centre (WCMC) is a Theravāda Buddhist vihāra established in the Sri Lankan tradition. While primarily run by the Sri Lankan community, it warmly welcomes everyone from the wider Waikato community.

Established in 2002 in Chartwell and relocated to Silverdale in 2006, the centre provides a space for meditation, Dhamma teachings, and community gatherings. Whether you are a committed practitioner or simply curious, you are welcome to explore the Buddhist path with us.
